Jake Guter Joins UPEA

 

 

MARQUETTE  - Jake Guter, AIA, recently joined U.P. Engineers & Architects Inc.’s Marquette office as a project manager and architect.

Guter has 27 years of experience in the architectural and project management field.  Prior to joining UPEA, he worked at Marquette General Hospital as chief architect, and later as the director of facilities management. Previously he worked for the former Sundberg Carlson and Associates in Marquette as the director of architectural services.

Guter is experienced in the design of institutional facilities such as health care, as well as commercial, residential, and industrial projects.  His varied experience includes the large Emergency Department addition at MGH, the Peter White Public Library, and the Mackinac Bridge Toll Booth Canopy replacement.

Guter is also involved in community and professional organizations.  He is currently a member of the American Institute of Architects, the American Society of Healthcare Engineers, and the Marquette Kiwanis Club.  Previously he has been a member of the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum Board, the Propylon Housing Board, and the City of Marquette Planning Commission.
