Presentation on Commercial Wood Boilers
U.P. Engineers & Architects, Inc. sponsored a presentation on Feb. 16, 2010, on the economics and feasibility of wood-fired boilers for 10,000 sq. ft. to 200,000 sq. ft. commercial/industrial/institutional applications. The discussion was led by U.P. Engineers’ Glen Johnson, P.E., a LEED Accredited mechanical engineer and expert in energy systems. He was joined by representatives of Garn Wood Heating Systems of Minneapolis and Messersmith Manufacturing, Inc. of Bark River, MI. Also participating was the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s Brian Brady, who will addressed questions about air quality and wood boilers.
