In addition to having a robust career, working for UPEA creates the opportunity to live in Michigan 's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Outdoor recreation opportunities and the ability to experience nature during all four seasons keep many people engaged for a lifetime. And an active cultural and artistic community provide diversity and ample avenues for other forms of activities and expression. Perhaps what sets the Upper Peninsula apart from other areas of the country is the unique blend of a mild northern climate, an economy that has proven itself to be sustainable, and living among people who stay in the region for a single reason: they "enjoy living" here.
